The Church Council provides general leadership of the life and activities of the congregation. We are essentially the board of trustees with responsibilities to ensure administration of the congregation and to enable it to fulfill its function and perform its mission.

Council provides leadership and resources to the various committees, teams and numerous benevolent organizations to carry out their services. Council also has responsibility to maintain supportive relationships with the pastor and staff.

The Council members are elected by the congregation, and typically serve three-year terms. Council meets monthly to accomplish its duties.

Serving on Church Council is a great way to get a glimpse at the amazing amount of service provided by the Shepherd of the Hills congregation. We are doing God’s work with our hands.
