Same Mission: Fresh Start
That’s the theme of this year’s stewardship program, when we have the opportunity to give serious and prayerful consideration to our personal involvement and commitment to Christ’s mission in the world through Shepherd of the Hills. Look for a special mailing that will go out on the week of October 8. It will include a letter from the Stewardship Committee, a Time & Abilities sheet, and a financial giving estimate. Each Sunday in October some aspect of stewardship will be highlighted at worship, culminating in Commitment Sunday on October 28, when pledges will be brought to the altar. It will all begin with a humorous and engaging skit on Oct. 7, and end with joyful Liberian-themed worship on Oct. 28. It truly is both a blessing and a joy to have the privilege of being called together into Jesus’ mission in the world.
